Q&A with Christina
Q: What brought you to Ayokay?
A: I was seeking a change of pace. Some place where I could not only combine my skills with the services I was representing, but to do so in a truthful, transparent, and honest manner.
Q: What’s one thing that you wish people knew about your job?
A: That sales isn’t a bad word. I look at it like I’m a matchmaker. I try to find the ideal client and partner them with ideal services.
Q: What are some areas you’d like to learn more about while at Ayokay?
A: Web design. I’d like to know, from a 30,000 foot level, all that is involved in the types of services that we offer. I want to become more confident about what I’m representing, so that when I’m speaking to someone who is in need – and who already has that knowledge – they have confidence in me and the services we have.
Q: We know that you help take care of your elderly grandfather. What is the best piece of advice he’s ever given you?
A: Work hard. Love what you do. He’s not so much told me that directly, but it’s how I hear him speak about what he did and his accomplishments. He has, since the day he retired, missed what he did. He taught me to take pride in what you do. Do it well the first time, and take pride in it.
Q: What did he used to do?
A: If you drive on I-465 or fly out of Indianapolis International Airport, or get a package from FedEx or UPS, or take I-70 or I-65 – my grandfather played a part in building all those roads and runways.
Q: What do you like to do for fun around Indianapolis?
A: I’m an artist at heart. So, I love to attend galleries, shows, and art fairs. I have a penchant for water – I’m a Cancer sign. But we have no water here. I’d rather be on a beach by water. But I also love winter. I grew up in southwest Michigan where we had real snow. I just love entertaining my friends or being entertained by my friends.
