With a passion for learning and personal development, Scott is dedicated to delivering thoughtful solutions and ensuring smooth project management for his clients.
What is your position at Ayokay and what does that entail?
I’m an account manager and I was hired to help the growth of the company and interact with our clients, specifically the ones that are web-related.
What brought you to Ayokay?
It was an opportunity to work with clients on a deeper level.
What’s one thing that you wish people knew about your job?
Account Management can be a fun job if you can handle stress from different directions.
What do you find most rewarding about working with clients?
Because each client is different, the rewarding part is that things are never dull, and there is always something pushing me to grow.
What’s a skill you believe is essential for account managers but often overlooked?
Diplomacy. I like to be an advocate for both the client and the Ayokay team. It’s kind of a fun balance to be in.
Account managers often navigate back-to-back client meetings. How do you stay energized and focused throughout a demanding schedule?
Well, because I like working with my clients, and each project is different, it keeps things interesting.
What’s something you’re passionate about outside of work that you think translates well to your professional life?
Well, I do love to learn. I consume a lot of information in a variety of areas. Making me a well-rounded, grounded person. I try and learn a little about a lot. YouTube can be addicting just because it’s practically a university.
Do you have any specific topics of interest that you find yourself maybe learning more about?
Let’s see. Finance, investment, and home improvement. I find alternative energy fascinating, personal development, communication skills, and life hacks. I’m all over the place. I’ll look at everything because I just find it all interesting.
You mentioned that you watch home improvement videos, and I know that you went to the area home and garden show. Are there any projects that you’ve worked on recently in your house that came from a YouTube video or maybe inspired you?
Let’s see. What have I done in the house? Storage is always an issue in a modern house. So, I’m constantly looking at things to help in that area.
What do you like to do for fun?
My top three would be spending time with family and friends, playing strategy games, and working on projects that allow me to put things together.
What kinds of strategy games are your favorite?
I guess role-playing since I can dive into the character and develop their build.
Hannah is a Digital Marketing Specialist at Ayokay, where she develops and executes strategic email and social media campaigns for a wide range of clients.
